科学睡眠

作为法国电影爱好者，这么迟才看《科学睡眠》（The Science of Sleep）可谓怪事。这部片子一如既往的散发淡奶酪的清香，让好之者不由沉醉。说是佛洛伊德也好，说是法式幽默也好，《科学睡眠》能让怀着各种目的的观影人感到满足。

某闺蜜推荐我看这部片子历时已久。但是，一来，她的电影推荐并不总是那么靠谱（比如她对苏联黑白电影有偏好），二来，我疑心喜欢哆啦A梦超长篇式欢乐剧的Vic能不能耐下性子陪我看完这部法国文艺片。所以观影计划一再推迟。

昨天看完了几GB的《丁丁历险记》以后，借着欧式幽默余韵绕梁的时机，我想也许是时候我们来探索《科学睡眠》了。然而，事实证明，这部在叙事结构上比《天使爱美丽》（Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain）松散得多的扭曲片子只能让一头雾水的Vic更加盼望去踢每周一次的球，留下我沉醉其中，无法自拔。

不得不说，法国女人的动人之处绝不在于容貌。Stephane一见钟情Zoe，不是她笑靥如花么？但正如在结尾时他被Stephanie逼问“Why me?”时倾诉的理由：你与众不同。你不一样。Zoe不过也是一个平常女孩，自从她轻易的被Stephane同事调戏以来，他就失望了，因为她跟所有在酒吧中嘻笑放纵的女孩没有不同。

Stephanie不一样。她有柔软的声音，她有一低头的温柔，她有偶尔的泪水和掩饰红眼圈的宽框镜。她用双手创造琐碎细小的可爱玩意儿，她对有缺陷的物什不歧视反而钟爱（小布马）。Stephane同她一起创造飘浮云朵的时候，他便爱上了她吧：万物都有自己的振动频率，在他找到让棉花云悬停的那串入水音阶时，他的内心也为Stephanie振颤了吧。

真实生活与梦境的界限，我如何能分清呢？那些Martine在玻璃纸浴缸里给Stephane做blow job的片段，那些小人儿在巨型打印机上跳舞的片段，那些有着纸车纸房子的片段，它们都是Stephane的迷梦吧？可是，Stephanie为什么看见过裸体的Stephane和他那封索要Zoe电话号码的信？如果它们是事实，为什么Stephanie从来没有收到过他那画册般大小的道歉？我不知道我是否愿意区别梦想与现实，毕竟我不忍心去打碎这世上最美丽的结局：

我也想同心爱的人一起，骑着有白色鬃毛的布马，穿过辽阔的原野，跨上长着白色树枝的船，在蓝白色玻璃纸的海洋里畅游，头顶是浮浮沉沉的棉花云朵……

Stephane的妈妈告诉她的新情人，Stephane从小就患上这种怪病，他分不清梦里梦外。我想，也许是他不愿醒来，地球太不安全了，那么多人吵着要回火星呢，能在睡梦中逃过所有切肤的伤害，那为什么不呢？

但是，梦做久了，梦就变成了现实生活，现实生活就变成了梦；正如同准备出国的大学生，他背红宝书的时间久了，做科研的时间少了，仿佛GRE就是必修课，写paper不过是业余爱好。

所以，Stephane受到的最严重的伤害，都是在梦境里：他梦见自己排版排到双手变得像大象耳朵一样大；他梦见自己贸然给Stephanie写了那封恶劣的信；他梦见自己与Stephanie去滑雪，却被同事讲淫荡笑话羞辱，还冻碎脚趾；他梦见Stephanie，像Zoe一样，她爱上一个酒吧里的男人，大跳热舞，眉来眼去……

“请你不要再玩弄我了！”Stephane对着一扇紧闭的大门抱怨。他为了爱情头破血流，却看不清自己懦弱的真相。所有Stephanie对他的拒绝和背叛，都是他一个人排演的幻觉；他终于（在梦中）鼓起勇气，说服自己躲在黑暗中等待着给Stephanie一个亲吻，却在现实中退缩到Stephanie的小床上捂住自己的脸：“你能装作没看见我吗？”

所有的梦，都是他的潜意识吧。潜意识告诉他，他渴望Stephanie，她是他年老时坐在长椅上回忆年轻荒唐事中的女主角，她是这个世界通过混沌系统分配给自己能够通过心电感应交流的女人，然而他恐惧被拒绝，他恐惧背叛，他恐惧失去。所以他在黑暗的独角戏中挣扎，连连受伤，也伤害他人。

Stephanie对他的好感，被“请告诉我Zoe的电话号码好吗”的那封信浇熄。但是她已经像钉透那堵墙一样，打穿了自己和Stephane之间的过去与未来。她害怕被伤害，她以为他隐匿真实的住处是因为他对自己的回避，他后来对自己的关注不过是想通过她找到Zoe。一扇门打开时，另一扇门却关闭了。当两扇门都半掩半抑时，Stephane终于在现实世界里面对了他梦中的恐惧：

“Stephanie不爱你……她的吻在你脸颊和嘴之间，那是她对你的不需要……她根本没在约会地点离等你，她骗你，她早爱上别人了……”

只消再过一个转角，他就能透过咖啡店的半落地窗看见Stephanie那纤秀的背影，他去落荒而逃。

他诅咒着她对自己的欺骗，敲击并撞向那扇背后根本没有人的房门，直到在鲜血中失去知觉。

“我是一个低贱的毒品贩子……所以她甩了我……她让我走……我终于……终于走投无路了……”

Stephane选择了意想中的方式结束痛苦：他要飞回墨西哥了。他妈妈说，你不能就这样不辞而别。所以他还是勉强的敲开Stephanie的房门。

他们争吵。他们以前也曾争吵。Stephane很过分的指责Stephanie：你做的那些森林呢？船呢？你根本没做完，是不是？你根本从没做完过任何东西？Stephanie哭着喊：你胡说，我会给你看看，你根本都是在胡说。

Stephane在她的卧室里，看见那已经完工的两层木床。他爬上那让他嫉妒得发抖的小床，用婴儿一般的姿势蜷缩起来。这时，他看见了那艘白色的小船，那船上长着三棵白色的树。他伸出颤抖的手指，轻轻拂动那些白色的树叶：那些他第一次爱上Stephanie时，她承诺做好了就喊他过来拍照的树。

他们安静。他们以前也曾安静。Stephanie拒绝Stephane做自己的男友（那时候“Zoe的电话”事件还未澄清）。过了一段日子， Stephane又问她：Will you marry me when we are seventy? You know... You have nothing to lose then, anyway... 然后，Stephanie是露出了一个不易察觉的微笑吗？我不确定，但我确定她说：好吧。

Stephanie轻轻唤着Stephane的名字，也爬上木床，在他的身后慢慢躺下，轻轻抚弄着他柔软而蓬乱的头发。他是又睡着了吗？Stephanie刚刚指责过他：你能把全世界都睡过去……你有着太严重的扭曲现实的问题！

但这一次，Stephane没有用讲英文来掩饰自己的羞涩，没有用说下流话来伪装自己的不安，在他的世界里，Stephanie同样轻轻揉着他的头发，他们骑上慢慢奔驰的布马，前往玻璃纸海洋，跃上长着白色树的白色小船，驶向层层掩映的白色棉花云深处去了……

这个月在神差鬼使中竟然不知情的看了两部Michel Gondry导演的电影，Jim Carrey，Kate Winslet主演的《暖暖内含光》（ Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind，2004）和Gael García Bernal，Charlotte Gainsbourg主演的《科学睡眠 》（The Science Of Sleep，2006）。

尽管表面上看起来两部影片要表达的东西有些迥异，但是静下心来一想，共同的主题都是爱情，共同的故事线索都是男主角的大脑活动，共同的元素是各种各样看起来很山寨很蹩脚的科学仪器，而共同的效果就是让观众无法在影片进行到1/2之前搞清楚所有的线索和逻辑（反应比较迟钝的人可能要到3/4了）。

或许因为场景的诡异，看完之后往往是好一番回味才回过神来，如某人所说，感觉到了如温热的法国奶酪般的喜爱。看了一下评论，才发觉《科学睡眠》里无比眼熟的男演员，竟然是《爱情是狗娘》里面那个内向却也暴戾的弟弟。他太擅长表现这种表面木讷，内里丰富过了头近乎神经质的角色。在《科学睡眠》里扮演一个在英国长大的年轻人，一套猩红色的小号收身西装走在巴黎街道上，河岸边，粼粼的波光是我印象最深刻的镜头了。
